Powergym become Valencia CF eSports' main sponsor

The club become the first LaLiga outfit to have an exclusive main sponsor for their eSports division

Valencia CF's eSports division has reached a sponsorship agreement with Spanish sports nutrition company Powergym for the 2019/20 season, and the team will henceforth be known as ‘Powergym VCF eSports’. The agreement means that Valencia CF are the first LaLiga team to have a an exclusive main sponsor for their eSports division.

Sergio Benet, general manager of Valencia CF eSports, expressed his satisfaction with the deal, which allows the team to strengthen the squad and meet the high expectations of fans.

"It's a privilege to face this sseason with Powergym alongside us. They are a company that offer an interesting catalogue of products which fit the routine of games and professional eSports players. Thanks to Powergym, this will be a year in which we are going to give some pleasant surprises to our fans," he said.

Powergym CEO, Jose Manuel Pérez,  commented that "Sports nutrition is something that is gradually moving into eSports and covering its specific needs, which is why we want to be at the cutting edge with the support of a prestigious club like Valencia CF, who have been showing their capacity in this sector for several years."

 Jorge García, Valencia CF's director of marketing, thanked both Powergym and the club's eSports effort "for representing us around the world and doing a phenomenal job. You are taking the club's name to the highest level and bringing our brand to a necessary audience."


Renewal with WEC and becoming a Top 20 influencing brand

Valencia CF, the first club to make a commitment to eSports and the 16th most influential brand worldwide in the sector, according to a study by Onalytica, have also renewed their contract with Valencian company WEC (World eSports Corp) for the integral management of their eSports services.


First signings for ‘Powergym VCF eSports’

Aiming to meet the high expectations of fans, the club have made two new incorporations for 2019/20. VIVI and Empershao join names such as Diego Fuentes ‘Evangelion’, who attracts more than 4,000 people for his Team Fight Tactics streams.

VIVI is a renowned FIFA player, and it is in the EA Sports football simulation that ‘Powergym VCF eSports’ aspire to win each competition in which they participate. Empershao is a well known YouTuber with nearly 700.000 suscribers, dedicated to playing Fortnite.
